  • What is a virtual race?  Runners who sign up for a virtual walk/run register online and simply choose their own starting line, whether it's a treadmill, a trail, or a neighborhood street. You complete your distance and upload your finishing time if you are in contention for a prize.

 

  • Why is HFS virtual this year?  Huffing For Stuffing has been a community event that brings friends and families together to get some fresh air and help our members who are struggling with food security.  It starts out Thanksgiving Day with a feeling of gratitude and well-being.  We all get out and collectively say we care about the health of our community and we care about our neighbors.  We have done this for 13 years!  The Pandemic has been difficult to navigate. We recognize many have suffered and some have lost loved ones. This year, Huffing For Stuffing will be a race that we must run separately but share collectively.  We will take a day and celebrate our spirit and strength and reflect on what we have.  The race will look different but we will be sharing it like we have never shared before! 

HFS Course

  • Where is the start/finish line?  Wherever you want it to be...your treadmill, favorite trail, or a street in your neighborhood.  If you want to run the course, please limit the size of your group and follow CDC recommendations

 

  • Why should I participate?  To continue the 14-year long community tradition of getting outside with your family and friends, give thanks, and give back to our community by supporting the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.

 

  • Can I create a team?  Yes!  When you start the process choose yes or no!  Prizes will be awarded for the funniest and most creative team names.

 

  • If I do not live in Montana, can I still participate?  Yes! We encourage everyone to register and support food security in SW Montana.

 

  • Where do I pick up my race swag?  We will be offering a hands-free drive-thru pick up on Wednesday, November 25 between 11:00 am - 7:00 pm at the Streamline/Galavan bus barn, 1812 N Rouse.  

 

  • Will you mail my swag?  Yes, when you choose your shirt size, select the size option with Mail MySwag next to it.

 

  • Can I still win an award for placing in the top 3? This year we will have reduced categories. Overall winners of each race and 12 and under top runners. We will do some random raffles for all participants though! 

 

  • Can I get a refund?  We understand that situations may come up where you may request a refund on your registration.  Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on registrations.  You do have the option to transfer your registration to someone else. 

 

  • Did the Official Turkeys lose their jobs for this year?  No...they will be participating along with you on November 26!  Dee and Rob will submit their times so we can continue the tradition of Smoke the Turkey prizes.
